Welcome to the online information page for the 2024 National Specialty Photo Contest!
The contest will use the same format as last year:
- All entries will be uploaded to an online photo contest gallery
- Category placements and Best Photo In Show will be determined by a panel of judges
- Berner fanciers and friends around the world will be able to view entries and cast their vote for their favorite photo; votes will be limited to one vote person per category

Judging
This year’s judges, both BMD owners, include a professional photographer and a talented photographer who has earned a number of BPIS awards. Placements will be awarded to first through fourth in each category. The category winners will compete for Best Photo In Show. The People’s Choice category winners will be decided online by popular vote prior to the Specialty.
Prizes
Rosettes will be awarded to all placements in each category. Each photo receiving a category placement will be prominently displayed in the Photo Contest Winners Gallery at Purina Farms. The winners of Best Photo In Show and People’s Choice will receive a special rosette.
Entries
Entry Fees: $10 for the first photo and $6 for each additional entry. There is no entry limit. Entries must be taken by the individual submitting the photos. Complete contest rules can be found below.
Entry Period: Payment for Entries accepted between January 2, 2024 and February 12, 2024.
Photo Uploads: Upon receipt of payment, each entrant will be emailed a link to upload entries. Upload deadline is February 18, 2024. No exceptions or refunds.
Panel Judging: February 19 through March 1, 2024
People’s Choice Voting: March 2 through March 22, 2024
