Rescue Gallery

The Gallery is the best way to recognize and applaud the lovely efforts our club made by you on behalf of our rescued Berners. This is your time to tell the story of their journey and the life you have given them in the 2026 BMDCA National Specialty Rescue Gallery!

Regardless of whether your Berner was rescued by a regional club, non-regional club rescue, or individual, or if they came from a puppy mill, broker, online site, or other bad situation, theirs is a story worth sharing. The Rescue Gallery replaced the annual Rescue Parade in 2006 and was chaired by Nell Ward through 2014, followed by Ron & Kristi Davis from 2015 through 2017. Patti Finley and Carolyn Paige took the reins in 2018.

Even those dogs who have crossed the Rainbow Bridge will be honored. The Rescue Gallery will be prominently displayed in the Lobby of the Linn County Expo Center.  A story book will also be printed that contains the same pictures and stories on display for those entered, those entered but not attending, and for individual purchase. Each Regional Club should consider adding this important historical memento to the club’s history.

You can customize your participation with choices from a personalized pin and story book to a display-only package. Have more than one rescue? You’ll be able to customize your packages to honor each of those special dogs. Just a reminder to carefully follow the instructions provided in the Online Store for your write-up and photo. And whether you have a rescue dog in your home, in your heart, or just want to help support those most in need, don’t forget to make a donation to Rescue.
