Dr. Samantha Judge (BMD breeder and club member) Samples will be submitted to Michigan State University and tested for fT4, cTSH and TgAA. Services are offered on a walk-in basis. Completed OFA thyroid forms and the additional fee need to be submitted when you bring your dog for thyroid testing.

Health Clinic Reminders

Forms and your appointment time(s) will be included in your registration packet. Every effort will be made to accommodate rescheduling requests due to event conflicts, but this can’t be guaranteed.

Please be on time for your appointment(s) and remember to bring your dog’s AKC registration number, date of birth, and tattoo/ microchip/DNA information. A microchip scanner will be on hand as well.

Fees cover evaluations and forms only; submission of results to OFA requires additional fees payable directly to OFA, with the exception of the Thyroid Test.

Breeders and owners are encouraged to complete health and genetic testing available through many sources, and to record that information in the Berner-Garde database at https://www.bernergarde.org/DB/Default. Berner-Garde will be available ringside to enter data with proper documentation. Additional information and resources are available at https://bmdca.org/health/index.php
